Who I Am

I’m a Systems Engineer. Over 30 years now building, automating, and securing IT infrastructure – from traditional data centers to cloud platforms and most recently, AI infrastructure.

My career starts in 1993, early web days, runs through virtualization, cloud computing, DevOps, and into artificial intelligence. I hold a PhD from Universite de Technologie de Compiegne (1994) and an engineering degree from Arts et Metiers.

What I Do

  • Cloud & Virtualization Architecture: Designing and managing infrastructure from scratch – on-premise, hybrid, cloud
  • DevOps & Automation: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automation at scale
  • Security: ISO 27001 compliance, hardening, PKI, network segmentation, security baked into deployment pipelines
  • AI Infrastructure: LLM deployment, multi-agent frameworks, AI platform management

Career Summary

For nearly 30 years I’ve designed, built (BUILD) and operated (RUN) complex internet platforms. Small places – research labs, startups – and large enterprises too.

At INA, Goomradio, Coachclub, and the Human Brain Project, I designed and deployed entire technical platforms on my own. These were bespoke setups matched to what each organization actually needed. Nobody handed me a spec. I figured it out, built it, and kept it running.

At SFR, Voyages-SNCF, Dassault Systemes, and RTS, the work was different. Existing platforms, established teams, vendors and integrators involved. I did technical studies, worked with production teams and developers, helped people optimize their tooling. At E-Brands and Car & Boat I managed production teams directly.

Operations has always been a big part of the job – except at SFR, where I was in architecture and planning. Since my first days at INA in 1993, I’ve baked security, monitoring, operability, and disaster recovery into every architecture I manage. Stability and performance weren’t afterthoughts. They were requirements from day one.

My background as both engineer and researcher made it easier to pick up new things. The internet in 1993. Virtualization in the 2000s. Cloud, infrastructure as code, containers around 2010. Kubernetes from 2018. AI from 2023. I’ve always favored solutions that last over solutions that impress.

When things go wrong at 3am, knowing the systems inside out matters. At Car & Boat, electrical and air conditioning failures forced several complete restarts of internal production – no manual for that. During the Human Brain Project, our main hosting provider CSCS lost internet access after a security incident on their supercomputers. We temporarily redeployed critical applications to Exoscale. That disaster recovery plan we’d written on paper suddenly wasn’t theoretical anymore.

I adapt. I build things that last. That’s the career in broad strokes.

Current Focus

Since 2025 I’ve been deepening my AI and Machine Learning knowledge through the EPFL Applied Data Science program, while building open-source AI agent libraries for batch multimedia processing.
